Why a bound transcript of the BLOG PARTY? I know it is on the internet, but I make books - that's what I do.
It is a gift, a memento, a party favor, a 'thank you' to our guest authors.
Click on covers to enlarge.
It will be printed by my printer here in Phoenix, Arizona, and mailed to each guest author - autographed, of course. Obviously, it will be a short print run, but I'll put the extra copies on my website if anyone else wants one - autographed, of course!
I don't have the final page count yet, but it will be perfect bound, like my books, 5.5 x 8.5 inches and this is the cover art. The back lists each author who participated in the BLOG PARTY.
This isn't the end...it is the next beginning. I love you.
Great idea! xo
ReplyDeleteThis is an AMAZING idea, Nadine! So cute!
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely idea, and an collectors item.
ReplyDeleteWhy not one copy passed to a contributor who sends it on to the next and next and next and so on on and finally back to Nadine as our gift to Nadine?
If contributors are up for the idea then email me with your address and I will endeavour to organise it.
ReplyDeleteFor those of you who are interested in my luncheon habits, I've just eaten a Marmite sandwich.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Glyn - I'd like that. It is my hope that this would be more than a loo read, that on a shelf in your writer's space it would be a reminder tha anything imagined can be done and that each of you were part of this awesome "woodstock" for writers and readers.
ReplyDeleteWot?! The Marmite sandwich?
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome Nadine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
You'll be able to look at the book in 10-20 years time and remember this great party!
Ella, exactly. As I go through and format it for printing and remove the internet codes from the file, it has been a review and reflection on the past 4 weeks.
ReplyDeleteAs well, I'd encourage the writers to link to their page in some fashion, as a reminder for those less than 'best' days in their current and future writing projects.
I've removed the party banner on the mast, signaling that thngs are returning to normal for FIRST DRAFT, which is still a scary thought. *smiles*
ReplyDeleteGlyn - 'Wot?! The marmite sandwich?' Lol!!!
ReplyDeleteNadine, what a generous gift! I will treasure my copy for sure. And Glyn, your idea is brilliant. I know how much Nadine loves authgraphed copies of books by authors she knows. This will be an honest keepsake and a genuine expression of our appreciation for all her hard work on orgainizing this ground-breaking event.
ReplyDeleteOh, and BTW, I have never tried Marmite, but I smelled it once. That was enough for me. Glyn, you are one brave man!
ReplyDeleteCathy, I'm glad you will treasure it. I think it will push 500 pages with font 10 pt. So it will weigh a ton of bricks to post.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Joy, you, and me can get together for lunch and I'll hand deliver them! As we say in our house, "Damn overachievers!"
Reminder: Monday (tomorrow) is a holiday in the states, so Glyn Pope will be the guest bloger and post the list of editing resources from the blog party.
ReplyDeleteNext Saturday I will post a reunion note for the blog party. Use it as a message board and chat room for the week, then I'll post another one on the following Saturday - until there is no interest in it.

Nadine, Joy & I had lunch yesterday and we both decided it was time for the 3 of us to get together. Hand delivering the Blog Book is an excellent motivation for us to actually do it. Let us know when you are ready. I'm on and will be very surprised if Joy isn't able to come too.
ReplyDeleteI was just a guest, but a book that's the transcript of the party - I would love one...so much valuable information that I'm sure I've not read yet, skimmed through, or just missed completely!
ReplyDeleteI don't care if I get the tattered and torn copy either...
Thanks!
Of course, I will be there for lunch with Cathy and Nadine! I wouldn't miss it for the world.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to that and getting The Blog Party book.
Peggy you are so funny! I'm back in Phx for a few days and will see if I can get the formatting finished while I'm here.
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing lots again for the first time, and I was at the blog party every day!
You know it, Joy! I can't wait!
