A friend...

A friend who was recently hit while riding his bike sent this YouTube. We get so busy that we sometimes forget to express our love to friends and family when we have the chance.

This video is from last week here in Phoenix, AZ. Please watch. Then go hug the people you love...every day from now on.

  1. So right. Drivers have to watch for cyclists to.
Recently a tractor killed four out of a party of eight. A friend of a friend was killed in London traffic aged about twenty.

  2. I just had to post this. There were 9 riders stopped at a traffic light. The truck hit them, killing 3 at the scene and one later. This was sent by a friend who was hit just a couple of weeks ago. He couldn't ride in the tribute since his bike isn't repaired yet.

We just can't take life forgranted. I was riding with someone who was texting. They didn't stop until I said something. And driving faster than the person in front, what's with that?

  3. A poignant message, Nadine, and a reminder that we shouldn't take life for granted.

Hope you are well and in good spirits. xx

  4. I could not watch it all Nadine. My Godson was killed on his bike, the video was a painful reminder. It was a reminder that life is short, and we must live it.

How sad for the families of those who lost their lives.

  6. Glynis, I am so sorry about your Godson. The unofficial report is the other bikers are recovering nicely and are expected to be fine.

  7. My brother was killed in a road accident at the age of 21 so I already hug the people I love every day but this video reminded me why I do it.

  8. Good idea, DJ. BTW, I've started reading your book the other day. Won't go fast, I have a million 'should do' items on my list, but your book was very hard to put down. Good job.

  9. So sad. I wish people would be more careful around bikers. Thanks for posting this.
My husband and I had the pleasure of stopping at the Roadrunner on our first trip to AZ. What a nice place.

  10. Joy, I agree. We must treasure life more than we do. BTW, there is a place here, San Tan Flats, that I've heard is a good place to eat. We should check it out sometime, what do you think?
