Curtain Call: BLOG PARTY AUTHORS

Writers are alchemists with the ability to suspend time, to transport others to another world or reality, to make mortal a figment of our imaginations. Nadine Laman, 07

Marsha Stewart is my friend from Phoenix, Arizona, who lives in England. Marsha is a writer and a photographer. Marsha offered one of her photograph note cards sets to the blog party - because she is a very generous person, and because I am a huge fan of her photography. Marsha's cards sell in shops in Cambridgeshire, England. I have one of her cards and framed it until I find the perfect occasion to use it for a very special note.

We conspired to give her original photo note cards to one of the guest writers. Marsha and I are in agreement the gift goes to Glyn Pope. Glyn was very supportive of the blog party and of me, but he won this lovely gift for bring DJ Kirkby to all of us. (Made you smile, didn't I?) Congratulations, Glyn - and thank you very much!

Here, Ladies and Gentlemen, are the awesome authors who guest hosted the BLOG PARTY. You are invited to friend them, follow them, and of course buy any books you did not win but really-really want.

  4. Nadine - what an honor to be mentioned on this "epic" blog party. I'm a writer, but because I've not yet been published - sending a gift of photo card(s) is one way I could support this event. Many thanks Nadine, for including me and for the awesome "plug."

    So Glyn ....
    Do you like cows ?
Or would you like one of England and France also ?
Wish I had an image of a burro - I hear you like those critters.

    Cheers,
    Marsha

  7. Good morning on Arizona Time for a change! I've really enjoyed doing this and am glad I had the time to do it. It has been quite fun.

Someone sent an email this morning wishing they had known about the blog party and were included. I'm not on social networks, so the way to know what I am doing is to subscribe to my newsletter and read it. My subscription list gets special mailings when something is going on, so that is what to do. Otherwise, trust to luck that you hear about it from someone else.

Wow, monsoons are finally hear! I LOVE rain! Lots of lightning and big English rain drops. Signing off for a while. Be back later.

  10. Marsha, that was Carrie (the one who lives near you). Next time she gigs in Cambridge, you really must go.

We just had the most beautiful monsoon morning. You would have loved it. I'm sure the cacti that bloom in the fall will be beautiful this year.

  11. I posted a blog this morning at http://glynpope.blogspot.com/
    at about 1115am French time.
In just under 12hours I've had 155 hits.
Just thought you'd like to know that.

  12. Wow Glyn. Impressive! I commented on your blog, go approve. I must teach you to trust more and control less. Think about this, no hurtles to comments invites more of them. In all the comments at the BLOG PARTY, not once did I have to remove a comment (well, a couple of my own, but...) I say this not only to you, my good friend, but to everyone. For me, those squiggly passwords are nearly impossible. If I want to post but am too tired for one more freaking dyslexia challenge, I do pass. (I know you don't have the squiggly things, but I'm just ranting here for all those who wonder why no one comments on their blog like they do on mine - there's the answer.)

  15. I have to put in my two cents worth one more time, too, Nadine. This was the best party I have been to in years. Wait, it's the only party I have been to in a long time. Still, the best! Thank you all for including me in your world. I love you and would party with you any time. Glyn, congratulations on winning Mrrsha's cards. You earned them! I'll watch for donkey photos and send any I find your way - tee hee.

Yes, an altogether marvelous day in Arizona. We finally got some real rain, not wet dust. And of course, it arrived just as I got out of the car at the local farmer's market to buy my weekly assortment of really fresh, honest veggies. First time in days that I had done my hair & makeup. I may have been sodden, but I was in heaven, sucking up the fresh joy from the skies. Makeup & hair be damned. It was RAIN!!! For those of you who live in normally damp climes, try going months with no rain and you will find yourself rhapsodizing over rain too.
